In the section on Simple XOR we are going to try and deduce P from C using the steps outlines on pages 14 and 15.  First we must implement the code for simple XOR so that we can make and encipher some plain text P into cipher text C.  Next read about counting coincidences in The Index of Coincidence and Its Applications in Cryptanalysis, by William F. Friedman.  You do not need to read the entire book; just enough to understand how this works.  Again you may need to go to your local library to get this book.
